EBO now working with 19 NHS Trusts and Healthcare Organisations

Here’s how Maya, Harper, Alex and Balm have been making an impact.

If you’re wondering whether they’re new additions to the team, you’re not wrong, just not in the traditional sense. Maya, Harper, Alex, Balm and plenty of others are our Virtual Assistants, supporting NHS Trusts across the UK.

They’re enabling patients to book, cancel and reschedule their appointments autonomously, complete assessments, guiding them along their pathways and so much more. Below, we take a look at how they performed throughout 2025, along with a quick recap of what they and we have been busy working on.

Real Impact, Real Results

EBO’s AI solutions made a real difference across NHS trusts in 2025. Over the year, our platform automated 300,000+ patient conversations, booked 22,000+ appointments, and helped 10,000+ patients complete Waiting List Validation cycles, ensuring care reached those who needed it most. With 40,000 e-Consents processed securely, administrative bottlenecks were reduced, freeing clinicians to focus on direct patient care. These results demonstrate how AI and automation can improve patient experience, streamline operations, and support NHS teams under pressure.

91% Patient Satisfaction

Patient satisfaction with EBO’s solutions remains high, with an average satisfaction score of 91%. Patients have shared positive feedback about their experience, including one who shared:

"Speaking to Al rather than a human I have never met before meant I felt comfortable to be 100% honest with my answers to the questions."

11 Forms & Assessments Automated

By automating forms and assessments, EBO’s solution helped NHS trusts save up to 12,500 hours staff time and £32 per form, lowering operational costs while maintaining quality care.

Today, EBO automates 11 forms and assessments including MAMS, eConsent, REQOL, DIALOG, RCADS and PSEQ).

Key NHS Partnerships

Organisations such as Oxford Health NHS FT, Lancashire Teaching Hospitals NHS FT, Surrey and Borders Partnership NHS FT, and First Community Health and Care CIC partnered with EBO in 2025 to kickstart their journey towards implementing EBO’s Intelligent Patient Portal.

Leveraging Conversational AI, these Trusts deployed EBO’s Intelligent Patient Portal to enhance patient communication, streamline appointment management, and improve engagement across their services.

"Between January and April, comparing last year to this year, we were able to offer 1,400 more appointments. That’s on top of a clear reduction in DNAs. So, not only are we saving costs by avoiding missed appointments, but we’re actually expanding access and making better use of our clinics and estates."
David Pike
Assistant Director of Healthcare Informatics – Clinical Systems, NELFT

Reduction in DNAs

By leveraging AI-driven automation, appointment reminders, and confirmations, EBO reduced DNAs by up to 30% for a number of Trusts across the UK.

"Early engagement results have been promising, with approximately 50% of patients interacting with the virtual assistant and over 200 requesting removal from waiting lists. This system also promises administrative efficiencies and cost savings, such as reduced printing and mailing of letters."
Bharati Aggarwal
EHR Senior Project Manager, IM&T Department Oxford Health NHS Foundation Trust

Proud Winners

The highlight of our year? EBO’s AI solution for Shropshire Community Health NHS Trust won the prestigious HSJ Digital Awards 2025 in the “Unlocking Productivity & Efficiency with Digital” category.

Together, we demonstrated how AI can streamline workflows, reduce administrative burden, and ultimately free up NHS staff to spend more time caring for patients.

New Solutions

Across the UK, NHS trusts are transforming the way they deliver care and EBO is helping make it happen.
