We are thrilled to announce that EBO’s AI solution for Shropshire Community Health NHS Trust has been awarded the prestigious HSJ Digital Awards 2025, for the “Unlocking Productivity & Efficiency with Digital” category.

The national award recognises the trust’s outstanding achievement in harnessing AI to release efficiency, reduce administrative workload, improve clinical safety, and deliver better patient outcomes.
The journey began as a pilot project and has since evolved into a vital part of the Trust’s School Age Immunisation Service (SAIS). Partnering with EBO and The Access Group, the Trust implemented an AI-powered Virtual Assistant to automate the vaccination consent process.

By replacing a paper-heavy, time-consuming manual system with an entirely digital, automated workflow, co-designed alongside frontline staff, the solution has transformed operations. In just one year post launch, the initiative has delivered remarkable results: over 8,700 staff hours saved, £173,000 in cost reductions, and an impressive 97% adoption rate.
