We aim for the Intelligent Patient Portal to meet the internationally recognised Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) version 2.2 at level AA standard, as required for public sector digital services in the UK.
Our accessibility approach includes:
- Ensuring content is perceivable, operable, understandable and robust for users with varied needs.
- Supporting keyboard navigation and compatibility with screen readers such as JAWS, NVDA and VoiceOver.
- Allowing text scaling without loss of content or functionality.
- Providing clear, consistent, and simple language where possible.
- Zoom without loss of content
- Keyboard only navigation
- Screen reader compatibility
- Logical headings and labels
- Clear error messages and instructions
We regularly test our service using a variety of assistive technologies and internal review processes as part of our development and quality assurance cycles. Where accessibility issues are identified, we address them promptly as part of ongoing improvements.
Content not yet fully accessible
Despite our efforts, we recognise that some areas of the service may not yet be fully compliant with WCAG 2.2 AA. Should you come across ant of these areas please report these to us by sending an email to support@ebo.ai
